Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring?
You need to bring food, any necessary medications, and a collar. Read below for details!
Can I come and take a tour of the facility?
At Lamoille Kennels, our top priority is the safety, comfort, and well-being of the animals in our care. For this reason, we do not offer tours of our boarding facility. Many of our guests are sensitive to unfamiliar sights, sounds, and scents, and having new people walking through the space can be unsettling and disruptive to their routine. A calm, low-stress environment is essential for a positive boarding experience, and limiting outside visitors helps us maintain that atmosphere. It also allows us to stay on schedule and prioritize caring for our animals. While we understand the importance of seeing where your pet will stay, we are happy to answer any questions, provide detailed information about our facility, and share photos upon request to ensure you feel confident in choosing Lamoille Kennels for your dog’s care. We encourage all of our boarders to schedule a trial night before any longer stays with us.
My dog is very elderly and sometimes has accidents, can they still board with you?
We love dogs of all ages and are happy to offer elderly care, which may include more frequent opportunities to go outside and use the potty, differentiated activities, including more cuddling and hanging with us during our office chores and different food enrichment opportunties as opposed to playing outside. This is an added service of $10 you can add to your booking. We reserve the right to add this if your dog required this extra care to have an enjoyable experience at our facility.
My animal requires medicine, can you administer it?
We can administer medicine up to two times a day for your animal for no added fee. This can include topicals and pills. We will make every attempt to give you pet their medication, but cannot guarantee it if your animal is typically resistant to medication. If it becomes a challenge, we will contact you and work together to problem solve and help your pet stay healthy and happy.
What vaccines do you require?
We require all our animals to have a current rabies vaccination and be on flea/tick preventative. We require our dogs to have bordetella and distemper and our cats to have FVRCP.
How big will my dog's kennel be?
Dogs are assigned kennels based on their size and temperament to ensure their comfort and safety. Our kennels are available in the following sizes:
